‘We’re hiring! Not you Erik’ – Ten Hag trolled by Domino’s Pizza in ‘right people for the top jobs’ jibe as pressure builds on under-fire Man Utd boss

Serious questions are being asked of how long the current Red Devils boss can expect to remain in the most demanding of posts. He has delivered Carabao Cup and FA Cup successes across his two seasons at Old Trafford, leading to a contract extension being agreed over the summer.

Consistency remains in short supply for United, though, despite more money being invested in the transfer market. They sit 14th in the Premier League table at present, with a five-match winless run across all competitions carrying them into the October international break.

There have been suggestions that potential replacements for Ten Hag are already being sounded out, with former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel sitting towards the top of that list. If a change is to be made, then ex-Ajax manager Ten Hag will find himself out of work.

Domino’s have poked fun at that situation, with the pizza delivery company suggesting that even they would be in no rush to appoint a man that is struggling to meet expectations in Manchester. They have pointed out, in a promotional campaign outside Old Trafford, that “you need the right people for the top jobs”. A spokesperson said: “Based on his performance, it can’t be too long before Ten Hag is given the sack... It coincides with us gearing up for our busiest time of year where we need people to join our team. We are looking for people who are results-driven... so not one for Ten Hag unfortunately!”
